Business Programme
During the exhibition’s work there was issued an official newspaper that highlighted the most important events of the exhibition.
Right after the official opening ceremony there was organized Professional Business Summit for the participants of PolygraphInter’2007. The organizers were Interregional Printing and publishing Association (MAP) and MVK International Exhibition Company. The representatives of large polygraphic enterprises, ministries and leading mass media of the industry took part in the summit where they discussed the burning questions of polygraphic industry development.
The business program of PolygraphInter’2007, PapExpo’2007 and PackCarton’2007 is traditionally high-topical. One of the most important business events of the polygraphic exhibitions’2007 is the industrial symposium devoted to technical regulation and standardization of publishing and printing business in Russia.
To study the problem profoundly and find effective solutions there were invited the representatives of various structures involved into technical regulations and standardization of the polygraphic industry. The symposium was visited by the representatives of Technical Regulation Department; Federal Agency of Technical Regulation and Metrology; Technical Regulation Commission of the State Duma of Russia and the specialists of polygraphic enterprises, producers and suppliers of equipment and materials. The symposium was carried by B. Kuzmin, the President of Interregional Printing and Publishing Association. The organizers are Federal Agency of Mass Media and Mass Communication, Interregional Printing and Publishing Association under the auspice of MVK International Exhibition Company.
The speakers highlighted the fact that nowadays in Russia little attention is paid on a new system of technical regulation. But by the middle of 2008 the state will take charge of the problem. That is why it is necessary to organize the polygraphic industrial unions not waiting for the actions on the part of the state. It is necessary to organize a self-regulating union and provide it with some state functions of the new, up-to-date standardization system elaboration.
In the framework of the 21st international exhibition of printing equipment, technologies, materials and services PolygraphInter’2007 there was held a press-conference “Torzhok Printing Ink Plant – KRATA - vertical integration of Russian printing ink manufacture”. Torzhok Printing Ink Plant JSC (TPIP) is the exclusive Russian manufacture of printing ink. It is a member of KRATA industrial group including two more large companies: Pigment JSC and IFPA Technohim. The process of TPIP integration into KRATA industrial group took many years of fruitful cooperation. In future this association is going to improve the competitiveness of Russian ready-to-use printing inks and enlarge their number in Russian and CIS markets. Besides, this industrial tandem is going to manufacture its own pigments for printing inks and polymeric petroleum, alkyd and phenol resins which are used both in polygraphic and paint-and-varnish industries.
Nowadays Torzhok plant produces newspaper colour. And despite the unprofitable import now 85% of newspaper colour in Russian polygraphic market is imported. The heads of the plant are trying to change this hard situation. The main targets for the nearest future are enhancement of the existing products stability and launching of new ones. The future priorities of the company are new customers and suppliers’ attraction, openness and readiness for cooperation and dialogue and strengthening of TPIP positions in the capital regions.
